3. Do you do free estimates?
-
Our in-home consultation fee is $75, which includes a detailed home walk through and an estimate for product and installation fees. The consult takes 45 minutes to an hour and is ideal for first time parents who like the enlightening briefing on what their child’s subsequent developmental stages will entail and which hazards in your home they will likely find. We encourage you to takes notes so you can share the injury prevention information with your spouse, grandparents or a caretaker of the children. We will credit back the $75 fee toward all jobs $300 or more.
-
With gas prices being what they are we can not afford to give free professional child safety consultations. If another company offers free estimates they have to be padding the salary and gas fees in elsewhere to be able to stay profitable. Remember, you get what you pay for! When it comes to child safety one should shop for quality and aim for a thorough assessment of your home’s hazards.

4. Do you do custom gates?
-
Yes. Our gates can be custom configured to suit the needs of most homes. We use custom mount kits to install gates that need to attach to railing, so there’s no need to mar the railing or drill into wood posts. We can stain, and paint mounts too. The gates come in white and black and we can conform gates to accommodate irregular widths , lengths and purposes.

6. What are the gate prices?
-
But don’t let the prices fool you! You truly get what you pay for with baby gates and these gates have been chosen to cover a broad spectrum of trouble gate areas, durability and ease of use and looks. Our gates work in many places all around your home in different types of areas, nobody wants 2-4 different looking a functioning gates all around their home. The gates are a great investment and we’ve NEVER had to return one.

7. Do you do wood gates?
-
No, They can be attractive but from a functionality standpoint we have found that wooden gates do not accommodate a wide variety of gate areas. They are often hard to open and close and do not hold up to weather well. Overall we prefer to offer our clients with flexible consistent durable gates with a simple clean look.

9. What’s the average price for a home my size?
- Naturally, I can't speak to the specifics of every home, but our average 3-bed, 2-bath, 2-story home ranges from $600 $1200.
- The most expensive items are gates and Plexiglas. The gates are recommended for stair top and bottom and Plexiglas is custom cut and installed over railing that's not to code or perhaps stylized creating a ladder effect where child can climb.

12. Can your team install the gates and latches I already bought?
- Boo Boo Busters is bonded and insured so we must be able to stand behind the product we sell and install. For this reason we will not be able to install any product we are unfamiliar with. If you happen to already have product we use and support, we’d be delighted to install it for you. Please inform the installer of the product you have upon his arrival to your home. 21. We’re moving soon and don’t want to spend a lot on baby proofing only to leave it all behind. What’s the minimum we need to do?
-
This is a pretty common question. Gates are a must on stairs. There’s no compromise there. However, our gates can be customized to fit any opening so the likelihood of them fitting in your new home is much better as we can add or remove extensions. Latching cabinets and drawers with hazardous contents is also a must. If you can, box up the dangerous items until you move. Depending on the age of your child some baby proofing might be able to be postponed until you move into your new home. Talk to the consultant about your plans and he’ll make his recommendations accordingly.
