Why Boo Boo Busters? I was a Manhattan Beach mother of a newborn when Boo Boo Busters was born in 2001. Formerly a journalist, my investigative techniques were put to test when our daughter began crawling around our,what seemed like,booby-trapped home.In my search for a babyproofing company, it surprised me that there was nothing local.A man spoke about
child safety in my Mommy
& Me class but he turned me off with his scare tactics keeping me
from relating to him on such a personal matter. All my friends looked
so worried! So my professional instinct took over and I read everything
I could get my hands on, researched all safety products, joined
a host of industry associations, took CPR and first aid courses,
attended child safety conventions and meetings, consulted firemen
and police officers, dialoged with childproofing professionals across
the nation/world and experimented with 100’s of different products
in my home. It took some time to discern between effective, quality
products amidst the vast substandard items available at retail stores
and I unearthed the best!
